Emergency Vietnam E-visa
Vietnam E-visa is increasingly familiar and favored by international travelers thanks to its convenience and time savings. With the normal processing time from 3 to 5 working days, travelers can completely follow step-by-step instructions to get an e-visa. However, in some urgent cases or when your self-made visa process has some troubles, an emergency e-visa service would definitely help? Let's discover the emergency e-visa to get ready for a care-free trip to Vietnam!
About e-visa
What is e-visa?
Vietnam Electronic Visa, or Vietnam E-visa is a type of visa issued by Vietnam Immigration Department and foreigners can apply and receive it through an electronic system without submitting the papers directly at the Embassy or Consulate in person. This saves a lot of time and travelling cost for those who live far away or are not convenient to come to the Embassy.
Vietnam E-visa was initially applied to 40 nationalities since its first policy in 2017, then increased to 80 nationalities, and is currently applied to all citizens worldwide since August 15, 2023. This new Resolution is not only beneficial to global citizens but also helps promote inbound tourism and Vietnam's economy.
In addition, instead of only issuing 1-month e-visas with single entry, the latest policy has increased the validity to a maximum of 3 months and issues multiple entry e-visas as well.
Types of e-visa
E-visa is divided into 3 types, based on the travel purposes:
- Tourist e-visa: issued for foreigners coming to Vietnam for tourism only, not for working or business purposes.
- Business e-visa: issued for foreigners coming to Vietnam to work for legal companies/ organizations or to offer business services in Vietnam.
- Family-visiting e-visa: issued for foreigners coming to Vietnam to visit relatives - Vietnamese or foreigners who are living and working in Vietnam.
Why need an e-visa?
Not only having an all-online process, e-visa also brings a lot of benefits for applicants:
- Convenient application and receipt: Foreigners can submit all the documents online on the official website of Vietnam E-visa, pay the fee, and wait for the result. You can also apply at home, or anywhere with a laptop and internet connection. The visa will be issued in PDF form, so you can save it to your device and print it out anywhere instead of coming twice to the Embassy to apply and receive it in person.
- Simplified procedure: Unlike usual visas, e-visa does not require too many documents. You just need to prepare a passport scan, a qualified 4x6 photo, and personal information such as expected entry date, port of entry, religion, and expected address in Vietnam.
- Time-saving: If you are staying far away from the Embassy, going to the Embassy takes you a lot of time, especially when your documents are not eligible and you need to supplement others.
- Cost-saving: No need to go to the Embassy, you will save traveling costs instead of just paying the fee online.
- Long validity: Vietnam e-visa is now valid for a maximum of 90 days, both single and multiple entries, suitable for multiple travel purposes.
